The Origin
The history of this residence is inextricably linked with that of the Santi family.
It all began with the owner’s childhood memories of his grandparents, Bruno Fagioli and Ines Diprete, and those summers marked by the song of the cicadas and the aromas of traditional cuisine.
In 2010, after years of silence, the decision was made to honor this deep bond and restore dignity to a unique place.
Identity Rediscovered
Located in the heart of Ziano Piacentino, the property is a living fragment of history: a structure dating back to the 1400s, part of the village’s medieval fortress.
It is not just a house, but a true “Castle” overlooking the Piacenza hills, where every stone and every beam tells of centuries of life and austere elegance.
The Restoration
The objective was clear: to release the authentic soul of the house from the layers of time.
A total renovation was undertaken to remove interventions that had distorted its essence, bringing back to light the ancient sandblasted wood, the lime walls in their original colors, and the historic cellars, while discreetly integrating modern comforts such as cast-iron radiators and exposed systems with a vintage feel.
The Experience Today
Today, the Castle opens its doors as an exclusive vacation home.
The charm of the past has been transformed into a contemporary wellness experience: a private SPA with a mini-pool and sauna, a panoramic terrace with a whirlpool overlooking the vineyards, and electric bicycles to explore the area.
